drafted onto a Major League Team - Major League: Any player 9-12 years old who attended at least one of the Majors tryouts
and was drafted by a Major League Team. Please note players who are league age 12 for
the 2026 Season will be placed in Majors regardless of their attendance at a tryout. - Intermediate: Any play 13 years of age for the 2026 season- Depending on registration
numbers, if there is one team there will be a cap to the number of players on this team.
There has been some expressed interest that Intermediate teams be placed to on the 60/90
diamond in the 2026 season. However, a final determination concerning the league
placement of any fielded Intermediate team(s) will be made based on the number of players
registered. - Juniors Division (60/90): Any player 14-16 years of age for the 2026 season- Registration
numbers will determine if we are able to field a team for this division. If your child is of
age and wishes to play, we strongly encourage you to register. If we do not have enough
players to field a team, we will work with you to find a team in the surrounding town or
offer a full refund of the registration cost.
To see which division your child falls into please see the age chart posted on the Abington Little
League website (abingtonmassllb.com)
Abington is pleased to say our costs will remain the same as they have for the last couple
of years. Instructional level will be $145 ($95 registration + $50 mandatory raffle), and all other
divisions will be $200 ($150 registration + $50 raffle). We will once again have a family cap, and
registration fees after the 2nd sibling will be waived. Please note all players are required to
participate in the $50 raffle. The raffle tickets will be mailed to you once you have registered, and
you can either sell them, and reclaim the $50 for yourself, or turn in your raffle tickets with your
name for a chance at our $2500 prize, which will be drawn on opening day.
We will also be looking for umpires for our Farm League Division. If your child is
interested in being an umpire and is at least 12 years of age for the 2026 season, please reach out
to our Board of Directors at
[email protected] and keep an eye out for our
Umpire registration which will be coming soon.
Our snack shack will once again be open for the 2026 season, and as we did last year, we
will be looking for volunteers to operate the snack shack for all games at Plymouth Street field.
Coaches will be reaching out looking for volunteers once we get closer to the season.
A link for registration for coaches will be coming out soon, so please keep an eye on our
Facebook page and league website. In the meantime, if you are interested in helping and coaching,
please contact the Board of Directors. Please take note that Little League baseball has implemented
mandatory coaching requirements, which all coaches who wish to be on the field for the 2026
season will be required to complete before they are eligible to help out, this includes mandatory
background checks for everyone on the field, as well as completion of training courses required
by Little League, and more.
